Misuse Of The Name Of The Ministry Of Energy And Infrastructure

Various scam emails have been sent claiming to be issued, represented or related to the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure. Some of these messages ask for detailed information and / or money from individuals and companies promising that they will receive contracts of employment, money or other benefits in return. These messages may sometimes carry the logo of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, and they are sent from an e-mail or refer to an e-mail created to appear to be from the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure or a MOEI employee’s address.

These emails do not emanate from MOEI or from any MOEI employee, and are not in any way associated with MOEI activities. MOEI cautions the public to be vigilant with these and other similar solicitations that falsely claim association with MOEI.

Employment Scam Emails

Fictitious vacancy announcements or solicitations may be circulating on the Internet.

It has been noted that a number of organizations or programs claim to be acting on the behalf of MOEI in recruiting or facilitating recruitment of personnel. The purpose of these announcements is to induce people to pay a fee for services related to recruitment or training.

Therefore, we would like to point out that all vacancies in the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure are advertised on the Ministry's website or in the Ministry’s social media accounts. Please note that the MOEI neither authorizes nor permits any consultants, agencies or organizations concerned with employment that may claim to be charging candidates on

Its behalf either through websites or via E-mail. We confirm that the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure does not require any fees either for applying for an employment or even at any stage of employment. The Ministry also bears no responsibility for the advertisements or activities issued by such agencies, whether they are consulting companies, agencies or recruitment organizations, and disclaims its responsibility for such fraudulent correspondence and any losses that may result.

What To Do When You Receive Such Correspondence?

MOEI suggests the recipients to verify the authenticity of such email, letter or telephone call or similar solicitations before sending any response.
