Reflecting on the importance of the sector as a national priority, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has been tasked with regulating the housing sector. In 1999, the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme was established to set ambitious plans to meet the growing housing needs of UAE citizens and implement them in collaboration with stakeholders from various sectors.
