Ministry Of Energy And Infrastructure Holds Brainstorming Session On Designing Future Services
The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure organized the first brainstorming session titled “Participatory Design” as part of a series of brainstorming sessions aimed at reviewing proposals and development and creative ideas on designing future services. They also aim to meet the aspirations of partners and customers in obtaining integrated and top-notch services that are beyond their expectations and bring them happiness and quality of life.
The first of these sessions targeted 4 services and was held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai. It was attended by HE Engineer Sharif Al Olama, Undersecretary for the Energy and Petroleum Sector, HE Eng. Nadia Musallam Al Naqbi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Support Services Sector, and a number of the Ministry’s strategic partners and customers, as well as employees of the Ministry and the customer happiness centers.
In the opening speech of the workshop, HE Eng. Sharif Al Olama pinpointed the meeting has been held as part of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure’s commitment to the directives of the wise leadership to involve community members and customers in designing and developing services and draw up their future prospects. Based on these directives, community members and customers can give their opinion on upgrading the government services provided and turning them into proactive services in line with the vision of the Emirates Programme for Excellence in Government Services.
Al Olama stated that the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has been committed to achieve global leadership in the provision of government services. The Ministry aims to develop its services in line with the principles of the UAE Centennial 2071 and the National Strategy for Wellbeing 2031, and to fulfil the promise of the UAE government for future services launched by the state in 2020, which sets forth the main principles of designing and providing government services to the UAE.
On her part, HE Eng. Nadia Musallam Al Naqbi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Support Services Sector, highlighted the importance of organizing this workshop which opens up an opportunity to think with a common strategic perspective and develop the future services system. The workshop also gives an opportunity to draw up proactive strategies and initiatives for a new phase of distinguished work. It reflects the Ministry’s keenness on developing its services in line with the approach of the future government, thus contributing to achieving customer happiness and better quality of its services. She stressed that teamwork is one of the most important factors of success and excellence in customer service.
The brainstorming session discussed a number of elements related to the Ministry’s services system. It gave an opportunity for community members and stakeholders to share their ideas, suggestions and future visions for developing the services system, especially proactive ones. The session also contributed to stimulating creative thinking with regard to developing services and encouraging community members and partners of the Ministry to give their comments and suggestions which help enhance the experience of the Ministry's services.
