HE Eng. Mohamed Al Mansouri, Director of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program, received in his office in Dubai, HE Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and her accompanying delegation. During the meeting, ways of stepping up joint cooperation between the two nations in the field of housing and urban development were discussed in the presence of a number of program officials and project managers.
HE Eng. Mohamed Al Mansouri briefed the Bahraini delegation on the new housing policy and financing loans for government housing programs through cooperation between the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program and national banks. The new policy aims to achieve sustainable financing sources and meeting current and future housing needs, as national banks will fully undertake the process of financing housing loans for citizens, with the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program financing the interest value of the loan on behalf of the citizens.
HE Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi and the accompanying delegation also visited the Customer Happiness Center in Dubai, where she was briefed on the applicable regulations, the efforts made by the Center’s employees the excellent service they provide in accordance with the highest international standards.
The Director of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program accompanied the guest delegation on a visit to Al-Seyouh 16 residential project in the Emirate of Sharjah, which includes 818 houses, with 16 housing models which vary in terms of size and architectural style. They feature two models for the 2 bedroom houses, two models for the 3 bedroom houses, eight models for 4 bedroom houses, and one model for the 5 bedroom houses. The project area is 1.289 million square meters, with an average of 960 square meter plot area for each house. The project meets sustainability standards and international environmental requirements, such as the Pearl Rating System, integrated development process, precious water, ecosystems, and renewable energy sources.
At the beginning of his speech, HE Eng. Mohamed Al Mansouri welcomed the Minister and the accompanying delegation, praising at the same time the bilateral relations between the UAE and the Kingdom of Bahrain. He said that the two nations’ relations have witnessed great progress year after year thanks to the support of the wise leadership in the two countries, mutual trust, respect and common interests, stressing that these visits reflect the historical partnership between the UAE and Bahrain in various fields and demonstrate the desire and will of the two countries to expand and deepen their bilateral relationship, especially in important areas, especially government housing.
HE Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning in the Kingdom of Bahrain, expressed her admiration for the level of effort made in housing projects, and the extent of development in the work of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program. She also praised the efforts of the program, which resulted in important achievements in this vital sector which greatly affects the lives of people. Al Rumaihi further stressed that this visit reflects the desire of the two nations to step up joint cooperation in the housing field, and to benefit from the successful experiences in the two countries.
