A UAE delegation, led by HE Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, participated in Astana International Forum, held at the capital city of Kazakhstan, Astana, under the patronage of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan. It drew the attendance of more than 1,000 participants, including heads of state, who sought ways to address current global challenges, such as climate change, food scarcity, and energy insecurity.

The two-day program featured keynote speeches, panel sessions, armchair discussions, and other side events.

Previously known as the Astana Economic Forum, the forum was first organized by the Kazakh government in 2008, and its new name reflects the broader range of topics that are set to be discussed at the forum.
