The UAE Participates in the meeting of GCC Industrial Cooperation Committee

HE Dr. Matar Hamed Al Neyadi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Industry, led the UAE delegation participating in the meeting of the GCC Industrial Cooperation Committee, which was held in Muscat on Tuesday and Wednesday 30 April to 1 May.

The UAE participation comes as a result of its keenness to promote the development of the industrial sector at the level of the GCC countries.

The meeting discussed the topics on the agenda, including the review of the report of the Bureau of the Economic and Development Authority on the assessment of the functions and activities of the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting and ways to develop them. The visuals of the Member States on opportunities to promote and develop the industry sector in the region were also reviewed.

The note by the Secretariat on the application of common rules by the Member States to give priority to government procurement of national products in the GCC States was also reviewed.

The UAE delegation included Eng. Osama Amir, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Industry Affairs, Mr. Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Director of the Undersecretary's Office, Mrs. Moza Al Shamsi, Project Manager in the Industrial Sector, and Ms. Hala Al Marri, Executive of Industrial Studies and Policies in the Industry Sector.
