The Ministry of Energy is considering cooperation and coordination with the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi

A delegation from the Ministry of Energy and Industry has visited the headquarters of the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi (ADED) to learn about the best practices and procedures for the Industrial Activities Licensing System at the Industrial Development Bureau and Abu Dhabi Business Center.
During the visit, the delegation of the Ministry of Energy and Industry met with Mr. Mohamed Ali Al Marat, the Director of Commercial Licensing Department and Mr. Ali Al Hammami, the Director of Industrial Licensing Department, and discussed the means of enhancing joint cooperation and coordination between the Department and the Ministry in many fields related to licensing procedures for industrial activities.
The Department's delegation visited the Abu Dhabi Business Center to review the procedures of industrial licensing in various stages / industry pioneers - under construction – and production / as defined by the recently launched Abu Dhabi Dealer License and Smart Query System.
The department officials gave a detailed explanation to the visiting delegation about the steps of the new industrial license and the advantages added to the economic / industrial, commercial and tourist license, which are based on the international standards and criteria in the classification of economic activities.
The delegation of the Ministry of Energy and Industry praised the efforts of the Department of Economic Development to improve and develop the industrial licensing procedures, and described them as effective, that will contribute to improving the business environment and enhancing the competitiveness of the Emirate and the state in general in this field at the regional and international levels.
The visit of the Ministry of Energy and Industry delegation comes within the framework of the joint work with the UAE's economic development departments to improve and develop its industrial licensing procedures, in accordance with best practice and within an unified platform for the provision of licensing services at the country level.
