The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure participated in the activities of the Fourth Edition of the Smart Transport, Logistics and Green Transport Exhibition and Conference under the slogan "The Road to 2030", which was recently inaugurated by His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, at the International Exhibition Center in the Egyptian capital Cairo, where the Ministry's delegation was headed by His Excellency Eng. Hassan Mohamed Juma Al Mansouri, Undersecretary for Infrastructure and Transport Affairs.

The exhibition is a gathering of the transport specialists, during which the latest technology in the fields of intelligent transport is discussed and presented. It is an important platform for exchanging expertise and modern experiences in the transport sector, as well as identifying the qualitative leap and the great efforts the world has witnessed in all components and aspects of this sector over the past years.

In turn, His Excellency Hassan Al-Mansoori stressed the keenness of the United Arab Emirates to foresee the future and enhance the creativity in various sectors, especially those related to the smart transportation sector, which is in line with the future goals of the wise leadership of the UAE; and that the Ministry aims to develop basic drivers of flexible catalyst policies and laws that stimulate the gradual transformation of the intelligent multimodal transport system, and encourage the sectors of the UAE in general, including the private sector to invest in this vital sector.

He stated that the infrastructure projects, especially the major roads in UAE, positively affect the overall process of the sustainable development in various parts of the country, and that the goal is to comfort people and improve the quality of life, in addition to supporting the state's goals in achieving the global leadership; and that the Ministry is working to develop the federal road sector in cooperation with its strategic partners to meet the requirements of the next stage in the country’s development process, and support its future goals towards the transformation of smart transportation.
