The Ministry of Energy & Industry Launches the Solar Calorie Application for Solar System Design
Tuesday, January 15, 2019
During the World Future Energy Summit 2019, the Ministry of Energy and Industry launched the application of Solar Calories to design the solar system in UAE.
H.E Dr. Matar Hamed Al Neyadi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Industry said that the application helps the user to design the solar energy system based on the consumption of household appliances for electricity. The application calculates the number of solar panels required and the size and specifications of the inverter system, electricity, batteries and the charging system whether connected or not to the electrical grid.
He added that the concept of application aims to facilitate understanding of the components of the solar system, which can be installed on rooftops or on farms, whether the system connected or separate from the electricity network.
H.E stressed that the development of such applications will help the average consumer to consider solar energy as one of the options that can be used at the individual level. He pointed out that the completion of this initiative will provide users with the information necessary to make the appropriate decision before investing in solar energy, which will lead to important results that will benefit the community generally.
This application highlights the efforts of the Ministry of Energy to achieve the 2021 vision, sustainability, diversification of energy sources; and encouraging individuals to use solar energy applications.
