"ESMA" participates in "2019 World Energy Congress

The Organizing Committee of the 24th session of the World Energy Congress (WEC) has announced the accession of Muwasafat of the Emirates Standards and Metrology Authority (ESMA) to the list of participants in the exhibition accompanying the events of the World Energy Conference, which is hosted by UAE under the theme "Energy for Prosperity" between 9 to 12 September in Abu Dhabi.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of signing an agreement between the Organizing Committee of the Conference and the Emirates Standards and Metrology Authority. In this agreement, Muwasafat will present the most prominent legislations and technical regulations related to the rationalization of energy consumption and the preservation of consumer health and safety, and the role of UAE in such issue on the regional and international levels.
The agreement was signed by HE Dr. Matar Hamed Al Neyadi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Industry and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Conference, and H.E Abdullah Al Maeeni, Director General of the Emirates Standards and Metrology Authority (ESMA).
H.E Al Maeeni said that the participation of the Authority in this international event is historic as it will be one of the participants in drawing the future of the global energy sector and review the achievements of UAE in the sector of legislation and technical regulations in front of this elite global leader.
For his part, HE Dr. Matar Hamed Al Neyadi said that the accession of the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology would represent a qualitative addition to the exhibition accompanying the activities of the World Energy Congress. This is due to the great role of "Muwasafat" in the development of regulations and legislations that contribute to the rationalization of consumption and the importation of energy efficient appliances.
The World Energy Congress is the platform for global dialogue bringing together heads of state, Ministers, industry leaders and think tanks, as well as policymakers and non-governmental organizations from around the world to discuss developments in the energy sector and the challenges it faces.
It also contributes to enriching the participants' knowledge through the introduction of solutions from the previous energy conferences. It deals with all fields of energy, for Oil that has a global perspective and derives its distinctive position, and a substitute from renewable energy and nuclear energy, as well as offering modern technology, research and innovation in this sector.
