The Ministry of Energy and Industry Signs a Cooperation Agreement with the Middle East Solar Industries Association (MESIA)

The Ministry of Energy and Industry has signed a cooperation agreement with the Middle East Solar Industry Association (MESIA), which aims to develop and implement solar energy projects and research, and to prepare specialized programs to qualify future leaders of the industry, and provide them with support and guidance to expand the use of solar energy.
HE Dr. Matar Hamed Al Neyadi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Industry, stressed that this cooperation aims to enhance public awareness of the benefits of renewable energy in UAE in all sectors of society, and the role of renewable energy to address climate change and promote the economic development of UAE. This, in addition to collaborating on the development of specialized programs in the fields of solar energy and the issuance of reports on the latest technologies and standards to assist in the development of policies designed to support the solar industry at the local level.
This cooperation also supports the initiative of the Ministry, namely "The Solar Trainer", which includes workshops and training to learn the basics of the installation of solar photovoltaic system in coordination with the approved companies working in this area in the country.
The Middle East Association for Solar Energy Industries, as a non-governmental organization, is working with the specialized agencies to improve solar energy in UAE and to connect with the leading organizations such as the Ministry of Energy and Industry.
