The Minister of Energy said, “Emirati women are one of the real bets for the UAE to cross for the next 50 years with strength and power”

His Excellency Suhail bin Muhammad Faraj Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, said that Emirati women are one of the real bets for the UAE to cross with strength and ability for the next 50 years; with their capabilities to enhance opportunities and face challenges.

His Excellency added that our wise leadership has opened all the horizons for empowering the Emirati women in an unprecedented way to play a historical and a future role in the equation of sustainable development and progress, which the state is working to consolidate since the establishment of the Union on December 2, 1971.

His Excellency congratulated the Emirati women on their day, in his speech during a virtual dialogue session organized by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure with the title "Pioneering Emirati Women Leaders", in the presence of a number of women leaders and employees.

His Excellency said that the Emirati women have proven their competence in various fields, as they assumed various leadership positions and walked confidently towards the summits of achievements, stressing that choosing the slogan "Planning for the Fifty-Fifty... Women is Support for the Country" to celebrate her day this year in light of the exceptional circumstances the world is going through. This carries with it implications many themes, most notably among it that the Emirati women play a pioneering role within the first line of defense in the face of the "Corona" virus. H.E pointed out also to the participation of young female citizens in the "Probe of Hope" project, and where they had an active role in achieving the UAE historic achievement represented by the safe operation of the first station of Peaceful Nuclear Energy Barakah.  He indicated that women are also the employees in the various work sites and are keen to perform the tasks entrusted to them with full dedication and commitment; and they are a major part of the national work system in all fields.

His Excellency added, "Women are a well-established entity in society as history attests to their role in the renaissance of countries, peoples and civilizations... Women in UAE have been and are still, since the founding era, a fundamental partner in sustainable development and an integral part of the national work system to achieve the state-building strategies and achieve its vision as they are keen on scientific excellence in various fields, and today, through their skills and competence, they contributes to the competitiveness of UAE in international forums.

His Excellency Al Mazrouei pointed out that the allocation of a day for the Emirati women is the fruit of the faith of the wise leadership of UAE, headed by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State; and his brother His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and in recognition of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, President of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, the " Mother of the UAE ", and of the importance of the contributions of the UAE women and girls and their role in the development efforts; in the renaissance of the country and in appreciation for what they offered to support the march of the achievements made by the UAE to become an example to be matched with globally in various fields.
