Ministry of Energy & Industry and Dubai Police celebrate UAE Women's Day

The Ministry of Energy and Industry, in cooperation with the Dubai Police General Headquarters, organized a celebration of the UAE Women's Day under the slogan "The Woman is the Symbol of Tolerance" at the headquarters of the Dubai Police Academy.
The event was attended by Sheikha Fatima bint Hasher Al Maktoum, Director of Sawaed Al Khair Society, and Major General Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ahmed bin Fahd, Assistant Commander in Chief of Academic and Training Affairs, and HE Eng. Fatima Al Foora Al Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary for Electricity and Future Energy Affairs.
His Excellency Major General Ibn Fahd conveyed the best wishes and blessings to the Mother of the Emirates, Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and President of the Family Development Foundation, on this day. He stressed that the UAE Women's Day is an honor given by the "Mother of the Emirates" to every young woman and Emirati woman.
"Emirati women have achieved historical successes that they competently accomplished in various fields in accordance with the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace, and become today men’s partners in the march of construction and urbanization, being able to prove their capability and representing their country both in the Arab world and internationally” Major General Ibn Fahd said .

During the ceremony, Sheikha Fatima bint Hasher Al Maktoum, who was accompanied by Major General Mohammed Ahmed bin Fahd and Captain Al Anoud Al-Saadi, and Lt. Col. Dr Mardia Darwish Ahmed, the Acting Director of the College of Graduate Studies, was honored for her PhD in Business Administration from the University of Wollongong in Dubai.
During the ceremony, a panel discussion entitled "The Woman a Symbol of Tolerance" moderated by Ms. Marwa Al Awadi, Head of Awareness and Rationalization of Consumption Department, and hosted by Ms. Alia Al Yasi, Director of Government Communication Department, and Captain Anoud Ahmed Al Saadi, Head of Dubai Police Women's Council, and Noura Saif Al Muhairi , a pioneer of education in UAE, and Eng. Sumaya Al Yamahi, Head of Studies and Policies Department, presented a workshop on the solar energy package.
On the sidelines of the event, the sons of Dubai Police employees who were motivated gave a paratikondo performance, while Captain Mariam Ghazal gave a shooting show.
