The dams of the Ministry of Energy and Industry collected 512,244 cubic meters of water that is equivalent to 112677927.6 gallons

UAE has witnessed a good amount of rain during last Sunday and Monday, 25 and 26 November 2018. The rain concentrated mainly on the Central, Northern and Eastern regions of the country.

The rains led to the runoff several valleys and to water pool in the dams of the Ministry of Energy and Industry.

During the follow-up of the technical team at the Ministry of the rain situation in the Northern region, many dams recorded the fullness of their lakes with water, namely the dams of: Nhaila, Al-Ghail 2, Al-Ghail 4 and Al-Eem in the Northern region and the Fay 1 barrier in the Eastern Province.

In the Northern region, Al-Eem Dam recorded a rise of 7.0 meters in the dam lake, as well as a 4-meter rise in water in the lake of Al-Ghail 2 dam, and a 4-meter rise in the water of Al-Ghail 4 Dam lake, another rise of 5 meters in lake Al-Bayh Lake, also water rise in the lake of the dam of 2.5 meters, and the increase in water in the Ghalila dam by 3 meters, and the rise of water in lake Shad dam by 1 meter, 4 meters in the lake of Coub 2, and the rise of water  in the Lake of Coube 4 dam by 0.5 meters.

In the Central region, the Baia dam recorded a 3-meter rise in the water of the dam lake, as well as a 0.5 meter rise in water of the Safsaf lake.

In the Eastern region, the Fay 1 barrier recorded a 1.2-meter rise in water in the dam lake.

The Ministry of Energy and Industry invites the valleys and dams goers to take precautions and follow the safety guidelines aiming for their safety and happiness, and to maintain the dam facilities that were built for them.
