The Ministry of Energy and Industry and Abu Dhabi Police are launching “My Health is in My Hand” event

For the third year in a row, His Excellency Suhail Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Industry, with the presence of H.E Undersecretary of Energy and Industry and representatives of the Department of Medical Services at the General Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police, organized the “My health is in my hand” event, an event that is organized by the Ministry in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Police to enhance their social responsibility and their efforts to protect the health of the employees, and encourage them to protect themselves from diseases through periodic examinations and early detection.
His Excellency Dr. Matar El Neyadi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Industry, said “We, in the Ministry of Energy and Industry, are interested in helping to motivate our employees and their families to perform the necessary periodic medical examinations”. He also stressed that periodic inspections achieve several goals, the most important of which is to maintain a happy, healthy and safe working environment that contributes to increasing productivity and achieving leadership.
For his part, Ayman Jmaiaan, from the Abu Dhabi Police General Directorate, said that the Abu Dhabi Police Medical Directorate continues to provide awareness throughout the year, participating in various health events and contributing to tackling diseases, and committing to the highest standards of quality in health care and prevention.
His Excellency Dr. Matar Al Neyadi honored a group of Abu Dhabi Police Associate Nurses in conjunction with the International Day of Nursing, and praised their role and their commendable humanitarian efforts. The initiative included a number of lectures on some exercises in the office, dietary habits, psychological stress, and bad use of antibiotics and its impact on human health. It also includes a variety of health activities that extend over one month, including educational workshops, examinations, competitions and community visits.
On the sidelines of this initiative, the Ministry will distribute educational publications, while providing appropriate medical advice by doctors and specialists involved in the initiative.
